Tennessee Walking & Spotted Saddle Horses, 1st timers and breaking. Gaited stock is our specialty, but we grew up on QH stock, so our knowledge is open to a lot of breeds. Training begins with round pen, sacking out, halter, bridling & saddle training (when ready). Continues with ground driving - teaching before mounting what is expected. We are teaching with the least amount of rough riding as possible. We try for as little bucking as possible, have even had horses that did not buck at all. We really like to get a horse to trust the rider enough to ask what to do in a panic situation before resorting to mother nature's programming. And ends with both putting in trail ride time and schooling for exposure and experience. Letting the horse know that anyone can get on and ride them, giving you a more finished mount. But remember, you must be part of this training, as it is your horse. It's great that the trainer can ride your horse, but when you take it home you want the same horse that was here. That means that you must come and work with me and your horse. To learn what he/she has learned, and how to keep that training constant. Don't worry, you will love the relationship that you and your horse develop with this time and effort on your part. Call or come by. You can stop by any time except Friday (we are closed) and show days (usually a few Saturdays a month).

Full Board $400 a month. Daily turnout with a small number of horses in each paddock/pasture. 60 stalls, 6 foaling stalls with outside runs & stallion stalls. Call for rates on stallions. We have a 120’ x 25’ indoor riding lane for rainy days or Tennessee Walking & Spotted Saddle Horses. Cross ties and wash rack under roof. Large tack rooms. Even a full tack shop. Same feeding schedule. Daily de-worming if requested (extra). Seven 2-3 acre pastures and two 50’ X 90’ paddocks for turnout. A 60' round pen & a 90’ lighted round pen for working, and just put in a great working arena (200' X 116') We have 1100 acres close to trail ride, and we are close to many state forests for long distance rides. Quiet, no traffic, wide flat areas to ride. Board, take lessons, or have your horse in training-any combined for a reasonable fee per month. Or board and consign your horse, as we have buyers all the time. We also offer horses for lease. This allows you to experience the horse BEFORE buying it, with 2 lessons included. We have horses for sale or lease available. Grade, Foundation QH, broodmares, weanlings, Tennessee Walking & Spotted Saddle horses for breeding, sale or lease.
